Reactions
My reactions to this book were shocking. I expected a story basis on how people would be living with pain but it ended up being about how peoples lives were “shattered” because of pain and suffering they saw during war. My general feelings towards this book are positive because it can help somebody who is low in knowledge (like myself) about war. Especially the Rwandan war which this book is about mainly. I would definitely recommend this book to others if they are interested in war and all the dangerous situations that have happened all around the world like in Guatemala and the disappearances and killing squads to all the way to using machetes on children who believe in a different religion to those who are more powerful.
